Who Can Gain from the CDCP?

The CDCP near you is a public program that provides eligible Canadians with access to dental care at an affordable cost. You may be eligible if you meet all of the following criteria:

You have no private dental insurance, including at work, in school, or through pension schemes.
You are a resident in Canada for tax purposes.
You and your spouse (if applicable) reported a Canadian income tax return for the past year.
Your net family income is less than $90,000.
You are one of the following age or qualification groups:
- Seniors 65 or older
- Children under age 18
- 18- to 64-year-old adults who are eligible for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC)
- Starting May 2025, the program will be extended to other adults between 18 and 64 years who are not DTC-eligible.

How to Apply for CDCP

You can apply through the My Service Canada Account (MSCA). Here’s what you’ll need:

Who can apply for the CDCP?

You can apply if you reside in Canada, have no private insurance coverage for dental treatment, and have filed your 2024 taxes.

Your annual family income is less than $90,000.
Children, seniors, and some people with disabilities are already eligible.
Other adults will gradually become eligible beginning May 2025.

How do I apply for the CDCP?

Will I have to renew my CDCP coverage?

Yes, you need to renew every year to be covered.

If you applied before April 30, 2025, renew on June 1, 2025.
The government will remind you when it is your renewal time.
