Who Can Gain from the CDCP?
The CDCP near you is a public program that provides eligible Canadians with access to dental care at an affordable cost. You may be eligible if you meet all of the following criteria:
- You have no private dental insurance, including at work, in school, or through pension schemes.
- You are a resident in Canada for tax purposes.
- You and your spouse (if applicable) reported a Canadian income tax return for the past year.
- Your net family income is less than $90,000.
- You are one of the following age or qualification groups:
- Seniors 65 or older
- Children under age 18
- 18- to 64-year-old adults who are eligible for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC)
- Starting May 2025, the program will be extended to other adults between 18 and 64 years who are not DTC-eligible.
